According to the letter of intent, Siemens will license the company to produce UHV power transformers in China with its world leading 800 kV DC transformer technology. At the same time, Siemens also increased the investment of nearly 260million yuan to establish its first transformer production base of this technology in China in the plant area of Guangzhou Siemens Transformer Co., Ltd

this production line is planned to be completed by the end of 2010. Its main products will serve the Chinese and global markets. The new base will further strengthen Siemens' global UHV power transformer production network and further consolidate Siemens' leading position in the field of HVDC transmission technology. Ma De, executive vice president and President of energy business field of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and President of energy business field of Siemens Northeast Asia, said that HVDC technology is a very ideal and promising power transmission method, It can transmit power generation and renewable energy generation in remote areas over long distances with minimum power loss. We believe that this will contribute to the sustainable development of China's power supply, and China will also play a more important role in Siemens' global HVDC business

in response to the government's call for energy conservation and emission reduction, Guangzhou Siemens Transformer Co., Ltd. will adopt green energy recycling measures during the project implementation. With this measure, the high-temperature steam tail steam released from the steam heating equipment can be combined with advanced solar heating technology to directly provide power for the central air conditioning in the production workshop.
